FOUNDER’S VIEW
Hello folks! My name is Dani and I am the founder of GDLC. I want to share with you my motivation and reasons for creating cue cases. As a mechanical engineer and designer who has been in automotive industry since 2005, I am still inspired to create products that the world will encounter in three or five years.
My passion is playing pool, meeting great people and just having fun. One day, I have decided to buy a new case for my custom cue. I was looking for a modern and fancy case, but could not find the cue case I was dreaming of, so I decided to build it myself. On that day I had the idea to combine my profession and my passion for billiards.
I wanted to create a minimalist luxury case by applying design rules and engineering methods. It should stand out and provide the best functionality and comfort. After spending valuable vacation time to create some prototypes, in summer 2015 I was finally able to realize my vision and create the perfect case for myself. It felt so good.
When I first took it to the pool hall, many of my pool friends asked me where I got it from. I couldn't keep it just for myself. I wanted to share it and give everyone the opportunity to have their own luxury cue case. And suddenly GDLC was founded. It was a tough process and hard work, but I'm so happy I did it, because it really came from the heart.
